Bona Vita Wellness and Psychiatric Center is general psychiatric practice that was founded by Dr Pavle Joksovic psychiatrist. The name was coined from Latin expression "Bona Vita" which means "good/great life" and the center was founded with mission to provide personalized, high-quality comprehensive psychiatric care that focuses on treating various psychiatric problems in age group of 17 and older. We have created practice that beleives and nurtures long term and strong collaborative relationship with our clients based on high ethical and moral values with patient centered approach. We pay special attention that you feel safe and comfortable in our office in friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We also believe in educating our patients as we work with them to achieve the best mental state possible.
Dr.Pavle Joksovic MD, FAPA also known as Dr.J by some of his patients has obtained his medical degree at University of Belgrade in Serbia and has completed his residency training in general adult psychiatry at Yale University, with additional training in Geriatric Psychiatry. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, and is affiliated with St.Vincent Medical Center, West Haven Veteran Hospital and Yale School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry where he serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry. He has been actively involved in teaching Yale medical students and in research. He has participated in numerous scientific and clinical group panels where he lectured on various psychiatric subjects and has published extensively in high profile peer review clinical and scientific magazines.
